iCell iPSC Neurons

Millions of people suffer from neurodegenerative disorders around the world and they are the leading source of disability globally1. Alzheimer’s alone is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States2, and with an increasing global average age, the rates of disability are expected to increase in the coming decades.

Neurodevelopmental disease rates are exhibiting similar trends, with autism spectrum disorder rates increasing by 250% from 2000 - 20143.

Human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) are enabling new approaches to study the healthy human brain and model neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental disease in vitro. FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics offers a range of iPSC-derived neural cells empowering scientists to model neurotoxicity, neuroinflammation, and further our understanding of disease pathways and progression.

We offer both healthy iPSC derived neurons and disease models comprising most of the nervous system tissue including both neurons and glial cells.
